INGREDIENTS:
Toor dhal -3/4 Cup
Garlic -9
Water - 2 and 1/2 Cup
Green Chilly - 1
Jeera - 1/2 tsp
Salt- as required
To Temper:
Oil -1 tbsp
Mustard -1/2 tsp
Curry leaves - 1 sprig
Ghee -1 tbsp
Shallots -5
METHOD:
- In a pressure cooker add your dhal,jeera,green chilly,garlic with required water for 2 to 3 whistles.
2)Heat oil in a kadai and add mustard,curry leaves and shallots.
3)Add tempering to cooked and mashed dhal.
4)Add salt, sambhar powder and turmeric powder and let it boil for 3 minutes.
5)Smear ghee and mix well.Serve with rice and papad.
