Capsicum Masala Rice

Capsicum Masala rice was introduced to me by my lovely neighbour and good friend.Thanks dear,you made my day!!Here goes the recipe...






INGREDIENTS:

Basmati rice-1 cup
Capsicum-1 
Onion     -1 
Ginger garlic paste -1 tsp
Sambar powder-1 Tbsp
Turmeric pwd-1/4 tsp
Garam masala- a pinch
Cumin seeds-1/4 tsp
Coriander leaves for garnishing
Lime juice - a few drops

METHOD:

  •  Cut the vegetables,cook rice and keep it aside.
  • Heat oil in a pan and add cumin seeds followed by ginger garlic paste.After the raw smell goes off,add the chopped onions and fry them till they are cooked.


  • Add the Sambar powder,Turmeric powder,Garam masala and saute them well.Add the chopped capsicum and cook them for a few minutes(say 2 or 3)
  • Add the cooked rice and mix well.
       

  • Finally add a few drops of lime juice and garnish them with coriander leaves.You can also add roasted casews or roasted peanuts if desired..

Cantaloupe Mango Milkshake


 I googled to find out the nutrients of Cantaloupe and got some facts.
Cantaloupe is a type of melon which belongs to the cucumber family..
It is rich in
  • Vitamin C
  • Vitamin A and Beta carotene
  • Prevents Cardiovascular disease and reduces stress
Cantaloupe-mango milkshake is tasty as well as healthy.Here goes the recipe...



INGREDIENTS: 

Cantaloupe        - 1/2 of a melon
Ripe mango(Big)       - 1
Milk                  -  3/4 cup
Water               - 1/4 cup
Sugar or Honey  - as needed
Ice cubes          - as needed

METHOD:

  1. Peel the skin of cantaloupe and mango and also scoop out the seeds.
  2. Put Cantaloupe,mango,milk,water,sugar or honey in a blender and blend them till there are no lumps.
  3. Add icecubes and blend them again.Pour into a serving glass and enjoy!
