Samai Coconut Milk Kozhukkatai

Ingredients:

Samai rice flour sieved 1 cup
Coconut grated 1 coconut
Cardamom powder 1/2 tsp
Saffron 1 pinch
Salt
Ghee 1 tsp
Sugar or jaggery 1 and 1/2 cup

Method:
  1. Wash and clean samai rice
  2. Soak them in water with little salt
  3. Add soaked rice with half of coconut and grind it for kozhukattai
  4. Heat a pan and roast the grounded flour without any lumps
  5. When it is cooked remove from flame and set aside
  6. Then make small gooseberry size balls out of these cooked rice and steam it in idly plates
  7. Add melted jaggery or sugar in a pan and add water to it
  8. Filter the impurities
  9. Take first and second coconut milk from the coconut
  10. Boil water in  a pan and add cooked balls into it
  11. When it is cooked add sugar and stir it
  12. Add second milk to it
  13. Add first milk along with cardamom powder,saffron,ghee.
  14. Serve Hot.
